Removing the Goal Light Housing (Lens Swap or Loose LED)
The goal light on top of your Foghorn sits in a housing that twists off by hand — no tools, no screws. You'll take it off for one of two reasons: to swap the lens for a different colour, or because the light has stopped working and the LED inside has come unplugged.
Before you start
Unplug the Foghorn from power. The LED connector is small and it's easier to work on with the horn off.
Taking the housing off
- Hold the base of the Foghorn steady with one hand.
- With the other, grip the light housing and turn it counter-clockwise about half an inch. You'll feel it release — it only needs that small turn, not a full twist.
- Lift the housing straight up and off.
If it doesn't want to turn, don't force it. Make sure you're turning the housing itself and not the lens, and try again with a slightly firmer grip.
Changing the lens colour
With the housing off, the lens lifts out. Drop the new colour in, make sure it's seated level, and put the housing back on (below).
If the light stopped working
Look inside the housing for the LED and its plug. If the LED has come loose, push the connector back on until it's fully seated — it only fits one way, so don't force it if it won't go. Then put the housing back on and plug the Foghorn in. Press the brag button; the light should fire with the horn.
If the LED is plugged in and the light still doesn't come on, open a support ticket and let us know what you've checked.
Putting the housing back on
- Lower the housing onto the base so it sits flat.
- Turn it clockwise about half an inch until it stops. It should feel snug and not lift off.
That's it — plug the Foghorn back in and you're done.
